This illustration was inspired by the folds and fluidity of underwater fabric and the intensity of fire. I wanted to use vibrant colors and let the watercolor naturally flow across the canvas, capturing the look of fire and movement.

I wanted to explore the juxtaposition between a fashion illustration and the negative space around it. As a result, I created a composition with tension and resistance between my fashion figure and the negative space surrounding her.

In this illustration, I wanted to explore what someone would look like if you could literally see the confidence and power that came from something they wore. The ink burst illustrates how confidence can reach far beyond a person’s body.
